I have a good taste for Cricket games always. In the late 1990s, it was the Brain Lara cricket 99 which hooked me for hours. Later came the Don Bradman cricket 14 for Xbox 360 which proved to be the best in business. It certainly has the best innovative gameplay. All these series are the on the major gaming platforms. But what about the mobile gaming? What is the best cricket game on mobile?
In the mobile arena, it was hard to find a well-coded cricket game that can even be called a full cricket game.”STICK CRICKET 2 ” was quite entertaining though but it was just a batting stimulation.
There is when I came across World Cricket Championship 2. I didn’t play the first version of the game. But the second version is what proved to be highly popular.
WHY World Cricket Championship 2 (WCC2) IS THE BEST CRICKET GAME ON MOBILE?
- A lot of Options
Ranging from 2 overs to 5 day Test Match WCC2 gives you all the options for a match. The game posses 18 different international teams, 10 domestic teams, 24 different stadiums. Participate in tournaments in by unlocking from coins or by winning matches. Online mode let you challenge others in different assigned scenarios. You can even select the type of pitches, stadiums and weather conditions according to your need. The game also allows you to modify player names, kits, and appearances. And which cricket game has a Hindi commentary? It’s quite hilarious though!
- Best Controls for any Sports game
The game allows you to play in easy, medium and hard mode against the AI Opponent. You can even select your controller type, be it basic or pro. I really like the pro-control type as the batting through it is so enjoyable. Due to this revolutionary pro mode, you don’t have to indulge in scratching the mobile screen to play shots in any dimension. The 360-degree shot selection mode provides you with every type of shot which you love to play. Best controls for any sports game indeed.
- Best Animations
The game provides a variety of bowling and batting animations. The animations feel smooth and look good. There are total 140 different batting animations and 14 different bowling actions. Hot-Spot & Ultra Edge for LBW and Edge replays are available. The review system is also an interesting addition. Lag free experience is vital to consider World Championship 2 as the best cricket game on mobile.
- Quite a Test Match
Test Matches are an interesting update in the game. You can select daily overs or matches in a series. The feel of the test match is truly brilliant. The aggressive four fielder on slips and the one at silly point and the red ball swinging is what makes it a good test mode. Rain Interruption feature is also added in the latest update. There is a special delivery option and loop shot meter(TEST MODE only) to enhance the gameplay.
ONE IMPROVEMENT NEEDED IN WCC2
The only problem is that the AI opponent is not hard to beat. If you are a beginner then the game might feel quite challenging. But in later stages, when you know your controls then you feel the repetition in computer’s play. Even the hard mode is not that hard without the bowling indicator. You can hit fours and big sixes on just timing, neglecting the physics of ball swing, pace, and position. Putting a ball on the far offside for six on midleg is an issue.
REMARKABLE EXPERIENCE FOR A SMALL SCREEN
World Cricket Championship 2 is an immensely impressive package. It’s quite a remarkable piece of coding and physics. Now after keeping it for a year on my every phone, I found it to be the perfect idealization as the best cricket game on mobile.
